Congratulations to young Jersey photographers: Leon Brown, Leah Finchc, Alex King, Kieran Lee, Jude Luce and  Jasmine Therin who participate in the Photo Academy 2017 this April in St. James Youth Centre in St. Helier and created amazing photographic works. Also special thanks to Gareth Syvret and Karen Biddlecombe from Archile for organising it and everybody in the St. James Youth Centre for hosting the workshop and the final exhibition and for taking us around the island on amazing photo shoots. Hello Jersey, you stunning island. I’m very excited to be here and to have an opportunity to discover you, to meet your people and to get to know your wonders. My name is Tanja Deman, visual artist from Split, Croatia and this year International Photographer in Residence at Archisle, Société Jersiaise, together with artist Jonny Briggs. On Jersey I’ll be developing a new body of work for a duo photography exhibition that opens on the 7th of Sepetember 2017 in CCA Gallery International. During my residency I’ll be also sharing my knowledge on photography and art through public talks and workshops.
